Case Study
Bedford 1930’s – Air Source Heat Pump Installation
Project Summary
Bedford 1930’s – Air Source Heat Pump Installation
The challenge
Mr and Mrs Hyde, owners of a three-bedroom 1930’s house in Bedford, approached SmartMist Renewables when the time came to replace their existing boiler. Rather than simply fitting another boiler, they wanted to explore a more environmentally responsible heating solution that could also help address rising energy costs.
With a new granddaughter staying regularly, keeping the property warm had become even more important, but the cost of heating the house was becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. They wanted a system that would not only meet the demands of the home, but also make better long-term sense financially.
The Solution
Following a full assessment of the property, the SmartMist Renewables team carried out the necessary calculations and confirmed that an air source heat pump could be installed while making effective use of the existing heating system.
By taking a considered, property-led approach, the team was able to recommend a solution that balanced practicality, efficiency and long-term value. The installation was completed over five days and was carried out in a professional, well-managed manner throughout.
Client Response
The clients were extremely pleased with both the installation process and the end result.
Louise Hyde said she was overjoyed with the results, very happy with the professional way the installation was carried out, and pleased with the overall outcome. She said she would highly recommend SmartMist Renewables.
